The Civil Service Exam is a type of examination given to all Filipinos who aspires to work on government offices. It is one of their requirements to primarily assess the skills of their future employees and at the same time to help them filter those who are eligible to be a part of their skilled manpower.
The exam is divided into two levels: the professional and the sub-professional level which is given twice or thrice a year where the dates are scheduled by the Civil Service commission which normally takes in the months of April and October. If I were to compare the two, both are quite difficult, their scopes are almost the same which are the following: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, and numerical reasoning except: analogy logic for the professional and clerical operations for the sub-professional.

So, how can I help you examinees out there? Maybe I could share you some of the secrets to pass the exam.
Allot a Time for Reviewing and do it Earlier
Whether you are a full time student or employee, you should find your time for your civil service exam review. Do your own schedule and be sure to follow your schedule. Doing it regularly will give your mind to absorb information at your own pace. It will avoid cramming which will make you tense and will cause mental block on the examination day.
Pass Your Requirements Early
By the time you have thought that you will be taking the civil service exam, you should go to the nearest CSC office and ask what are the things you need before taking the exam.
As for me, before taking the exam, I went to the nearest CSC office in our place, filled up a form for Paper and Pencil Test and completed the requirements immediately. After passing the requirements, they will give you a portion of the form which will serve as your pass when examination day comes. Written in the stub are details of where the exam will be happening, when it is and what to bring.
If you will be completing your requirements immediately, it will give you an ample amount of time to have a peace of mind in which it will let you focus on reviewing.
